What you are buying
A hand-painted oil reproduction of the artwork you chose, painted to order after you order it. It is a new physical object made by a painter we contract, not a print and not the original.
The child's original painting is not for sale. It belongs to the child and their family, and it stays with them.
No digital file is sold, and none is given away. The image on the catalogue page is there so you can see what you are ordering.
How long it takes
Weeks rather than days. That is the nature of the thing rather than a delay, and we would rather not give you a date we cannot hold, so we do not promise one. Your order page shows where your painting actually is, and we email you when it moves.
What we always put right
If your painting arrives damaged, or it is not a faithful reproduction of the artwork you chose, we will put it right — repainted or refunded. That holds regardless of anything else on this page, and photographs of the problem help us sort it out quickly.
Ordering and payment
To order we need an email address you have confirmed reaches you and an address to ship to. Payment is taken by Stripe; we never see your card details. Prices are shown on each listing and are charged in the currency displayed at checkout.
What is not settled yet
Two things, and we would rather name them than write a policy we have not agreed. Whether a made-to-order painting carries the statutory cancellation right that applies to ordinary goods is with our lawyers. Whether we offer a window to cancel before a painter starts is not decided either.
Neither affects the paragraph above: damaged, defective and unfaithful work is remediated whatever the answers turn out to be. We are not open for orders yet, and this page will be finished before we are.
